Cigar Box ukulele for my daughter
Just strung this up and gave it a bit of a test play, better wipe the smudges off before she gets home from kindergarten.
3 string slide with a White Beech neck and rosewood body. Nut is purple gidgee. 550mm total length to accomidate her tiny arms.

How does it sound?
It would probably have more volume if the bridge wasn't so close to the edge.Cliff.

its prety tinny, havent played it electrafied yet i got one of those piezo microphones and it is strung with electric strings, i have nylons coming for it. She has been twanging it all afternoon and is prettty excited. Sounds better than her $50 acoustic its warmer even though it has a shorter neck.

Haha that would require knowledge I don't have to upload, I'll work out how.
Maybe warmer isn't the right word for it but it sounds better than her high pitched traditional duke.
