Default Such an observant young fella.

To set the stage, we currently are a wee bit over populated (IM0) with living arrangements.

To date, Squatters so far number 5, 2 Grandsons + 1 Ex Daughter-in-law, a Son and My Mother-in-law all here for the long haul with no respite (for us) in sight. Soooooooooo...

Yesterday went on a shopping outing with #1 Grandson aged 8.

While discussing the relative merits of wondering around window gazing and the obligatory visit to the Green Shed.

I mentioned it's just nice to get out and spend time together.

"Yeah" he said "Sometimes you've just go to get away from everyone and all that stuff.

At that point he held my hand and looked up to me a said

"I can understand why YOU spend so much time in 'THE SHED'."

Holding back a huge grin and stifling a belly laugh, I steered him to the nearest Macca's.

    Good Lad that one.

    Cheers

    Steve

My Dad use to spend a lot of time in his "fish room". He bred tropical fish. And had 6 kids. For some reason the fish breading dropped off the agenda as the kids left home. :

Odd... Once my Dad decided he was gonna spend more time around the house, that's when the kids left home!
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

Steve, all the squatters reminded me of a song I heard Sunday " When Grandpa Came To Stay "

Son " You're going to live with us now Grandpa. Our home is your home. You'll have your own room, your own tv and a garden to work in and then....."

Grandpa " Will you shut up? Get my lunch and change my undies! "
    Cheers, Bill
