    Default Tolex Adhesive

    Hi,

    Apologies for cross-posting however I thought that people on this forum might have missed my question over on the Finishing forum.

    Anyone have any advice about which adhesive to use for Tolex application?

    Use contact cement. contact glue. The yellow stuff.

    Contact glue for sure. Not the crappy 3m stuff in the can from bunnings though. Get the good industrial stuff

    Not sure of brands. I laminate bench tops for a living and we order 200 litre drums of it. You could try a kitchen place and ask if they can spare some

    ordinary white pva glue for the broad areas and contact glue around the edges - the bulk pva at bunnies and selleys kwik grip i've used - YKMV
