Red gum stave snare drum
Hi guys
Im fairly new to woodworking and this forum so I just thought I'd share a project I finished last year.
I built this snare drum from old red gum fence posts.
20 stave, 16mm thick
Finish is polyurethane over burnished tung oil

While this is a beautiful drum, I'm not planning on using red gum again, not a tonewood and not fun to work with...the things you learn
Hope you like it

I think Greg is right, and that you need a few more posts under your belt first. Not sure, though. Maybe one of the mods can clarify this for us?
Edit: I just tried as well, and this is the resultant message:
The following errors occurred with your submission
- lildrummerboy52 has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space.
If you have a private message currently in your inbox, delete it and you should have room for one, at least. If not, a few more posts, as mentioned.
You could possibly start a thread in the Forum Help section, FORUMS INFO, HELP, DISCUSSION & FEEDBACK , and ask what the situation is. This would add another post to your count, if nothing else.... Steve
