    Default CBG Making Workshop - Penrith Regional Gallery - May 19

    For those in Penrith area or nearby and interested in making cigar box guitars, the Penrith Regional Gallery will have a workshop, (Diddley Bow Cigar Box (guitar) Workshop), on the 19th May, with Andrew Rignold.

    A friend just rang and told me, but I'm not nearby, so won't be going, but I thought others might be interested.

    I don't know how advanced it is, or how long it goes for, but it might be worth a look in if you're not far away.
    It seems that CBGs are gaining some popularity here.

    Cbg's are more popular than c's...
    which creates a ridiculous false economy in the b's..
    use any old bastard thing that's handy, that's the spirit...

    I hadn't thought about that, but you're right I reckon.
    Actually, some of my favourite CBGs on Cigar Box Nation were made from hub caps etc. Saw a nice VW hub cap CBG a week or two ago.

    For anyone interested this is booked out. The next one is June 23rd. 10 30am to 1pm. $90. This is to make a one string didley bow.

    Thanks for the extra info Pac man. I assume that at $90, they supply all ingredients. 2 1/2 hours isn't long, either, imho.
