    Default Stanley combination square

I was adjusting my Stanley combination square yesterday when the "brass" knurled nut fell in half. The @#$%^&*?! thing was PLASTIC.
Has anyone had the same experience, or know of a source of spare parts which are NOT plastic?
    Cheers
    Graeme

    Talking Busted Nut

Find out the thread and pitch detail. I made mine from a bit of brass rod and turned it up on the lathe at school. Don't forget the little spring which usually gets lost. Mine was 6mm x 1 mm pitch, though not a Stanley.

I would reply to this thread but feel out of place, being my name is Nick and not Graham.
