I've been keeping a eye open for lighting although heating would be a better idea right now. There's a little combustion stove in there but it hasn't been lit for a long time.
It is indeed an old Singer. Belongs to a friend and I'm storing it until she decides what to do with it.
It's not obvious from the photo but the mezzanine does have a hardwood support post in the middle, Given the hassle getting heavy stuff up and down, it's currently carrying as much as it's ever likely to,Geoff

Also found the Fluro under cupboard lights Search - Bunnings Warehouse
I thought you might be going to sew up some curtians and line the van
