    Wow, that looks really good ... and pink! I wonder what it would sound like if you cut a sound hole in the tin...?

    Sound is actually quite loud enough for a bit of fun and being tin, a sound hole would need some sort of edge cover to prevent ouchies and I think that as this will probably finish up in the hands of a pre-teen niece I may just keep it simple. A bit more going is probably going to be added to the headstock and fretboard as well.

    If you want to do sound holes in a tin the best way I've found is to make a template of the f-hole with another scrap of sheet steel for the inside, punch holes and bend around that..(bending the top inwards around the template, which is on the inside of the lid)
    to be honest they offer little improvement, but they do look cool. I do pickup slots that same way too. Great stuff, I love tin guitars
