Hi tdrumnut. Yeah i guess at around 22mpg & a big six but what the heck. Its only going to be a limited driver not an every day car.The money i save on fuel will help fund her 'make-up & mascara"! gordon

Haven't seen one of these in years.
Looks to be in pretty good nick.
Is it a Vauxhall Cresta or Velox?
My Dad had a Vauxhall Victor, bought new in about 1962, with two tone paintwork which was all the rage back then. (Red bottom, white top)
Good luck in getting it back into working order.

Hello Al. Roxy`s a Velox. Whilst parts are reasonably easy to come by i`ve been lucky enough to have been offered parts (which i`m yet to confirm of whats available) by a member of our vin van forum. I will spend tomorrow going over the old girl (doesn`t sound right.ha). gordon

My grandad had one of those when he passed away many years ago.
Unfortunately in all the panic nobody bothered looking her over and 3 months later the fish he had caught earlier that day were discovered. It was quietly removed to his sons farm and used as infill for a dam wall foundation.

PA Cresta was the first car for me. Cresta had a curved chrome trim along the dash and along the top of the glove-box door. The first days of the mini skirt - wonderful knicker mirror.
Happy Days *sigh* BTW one of these won Philip Island in '62
