    Default Buffing & Polishing

Would like some help/advice , I want to get a glass like factory finish, I can get it pretty glossy but there's always tiny scratches $ swirls in the finish. I use 2 k clear. Sand with 1000, 1200 then 2000 then buff with a wool the foam pads, using a hand buffer. Should I use a pedestal type buffer. What am I not doing right?

Get a buffing machine with 12" mops and good compound and the right rpm you will never look back. Or you can try the new foam pads from stewmac they seem to do a better job but with all pads keep clean and dust free

There is no need to wet sand with anything coarser than 2000 grit, if you apply the 2k properly.

Stemac also have a set of polishing compounds they use with their foam buffing pads. Worth a look.
