    Default number 7

This is my latest project. Didn't make any plans or pics because -as usual- I wasn't sure it would turn out good. I had to start over a couple of times, but this is the result. You might say this is one of the "Alien" series, but it's too common looking for that...

Top job Leo. I especially like your rack and pinion steering.

Top job Leo. I think it looks in the same style with the grill at the back as the Alien series. I think you are having too much fun with these

My goodness me Leo, I go away for a fortnight and you bring out another marvelous creation....
The proportions are excellent and your ingenuity with the steering mechanism is top notch, VERY WELL DONE, sir.

    Default Dimensions

Good you're back Crowie! Now someone at least told me I forgot the dimensions: the car is 48 cm long, 22 cm wide and 12 cm high (without the wheels: they're 95 mm in diam). As I presented it to my grandson, he showed me one of his plastic toy cars and asked if I could paint it in the same way...Reluctantly, as I like the look of the wood, I said yes as an exception. As soon as it's ready I'll post the pictures.
Someone also pointed out that I still have time to make a few things for Christmas, as a fair is coming up on dec 14 and I don't have anything special for that occasion... So started thinking about a few things to make, but that's for the next post!

According to the wishes of my grandson, I painted the Number 7. Ileft the wheels, seat and steering wheel unpainted. As he comes over this weekend, Ilove to see the look on his little face!

Hello. I apologise for taking so much time befor I answered. The glue I used is an ordinary contact-glue, from the brand "Bison", wich has an excellent reputation here. Don't know where you live or if it's available there, but I think any good contact-glue will do.
