    Default Christmas coming up!

I haven't been sitting idly in front of the TV, for those who think so. I've gathered some ideas and started with a few things for Christmas. Unfortunately, they were ideas... So there are no pics of the work in progress... But I did take some afterwards, to please all of you! Furthermore, watching the news here, I've seen the devastation of fires in your country, and feel sorry for all those whose home went up in flames.

    G'Day Leo,
That's a good bunch of toys you've made there, well done sir.....
I'm in the middle of making "garage" or "service station" number 14 for my daughter to give to an old school friends two young old.
I also am in the process of doing the "cutting list" for a Woodcraft Tough Tipper..
Once the garage is finished I'll post some photos as yes we all love the photos and with the truck once the cutting list is complete I'll do the same.
Thanks for you photos, inspiration and encouragement..
    Cheers, crowie

PS - The fires on the lower Blue Mountains took over 200 family homes plus damaged further 100 plus so there is a lot of heart ache around Springwood & Winmalee though there is also a heap of community spirit coming to the fore as so many rally to help and support...

    Default Measures

I never seem to be able to give all the details in just one post... The little car is for my nephew, just born. The two sleighs are about 20 cm long and 20 cm high. The Christmas shed has about the same height and wide and is about 10 cm deep.
The gipsy caravan is 42 cm long, 11 cm wide and 19 cm total height. The rocking chair, which was a late addition, is 7 cm high and 4 cm wide...
I don't know exactly how to say this, but I'm feeling a lot of compassion for those who lost their homes and more. I wish you all the strength to get up and start over again.

    Default Exrta's

Found the shed a bit empty, so I searched for som figures to put in. They're rather small: max about 7 cm high. Cut them out with a scrollsaw and used a pyrograph to make some lines. It adds to the scenery. Made a new one too: I wanted it to look old, worn, so I used different pieces and made the whole this askew. Placed the same figures inside. The last picture is a piece that was commissioned: a friend needed a "letter box" to put his collection of honey in. He's travelling all over the world for these! I'm making three identical boxes with a lid to put all off the small jars in. Every square is 5.5 x5.x x5.5 cm. It's the kind of thing I hate the most to make, because it's serial work, but he's a good friend and it pays...
P.S.: Here in Belgium we've never have that kind of storms or tornado's. I think I would be terrified. I hope not too many people got hurt.

Tornadoes, floods. Ice, snow it's all pretty common here. Glad to hear you don't deal with those things. About all we don't have where I'm at, hurricanes
