Default Garage / Service Station - Number 14

Yes another Garage / Service Station - Number 14 I think!!!
My daughter friend from school days has a son who's turning 2 and asked my daughter,
"Do you think you could ask your dad to make a garage like all the others for me, I'll pay".
My response was NO! I'll do it as a gift the same as all the rest.....
Here is the progress thus far..
    Cheers, crowie

I don't know how you do it Crowie. Not only do you seem to respond to most threads you also find time to make brilliant toys like this one. Well done!

Thank you for the encouragement....the forum is my facebook [according to my beloved].....
Anyways as one who medically retired early; the woodwork helps keep my head, heart & hands active, while the blokes & ladies on the forum have become friends.....
I struggle with the patients to do the finer works that others do, though very much appreciate there talent, skills and craftsmanship.....
So thus TOY MAKING is my preferred outlet; to encourage and support all I come across....
The extra reward is seeing children play with them....

One of the best things that I also found on the forum. Similar thinking people.

I knew you made a few garages but who was keeping track?

Your garage looks fine. Maybe I'll make one for the next exhibition coming up in December and put some toy cars in it. You're right about the kids: when I see my grandson's eyes when he gets something new, you know why you make the stuff.
Seems I'm not the only one retired early on medical grounds with a very nice and creative hobby! Thanks for sharing and encouraging us!

    Default Finished

The garage is finished, the last coat of clear is dry, all ready for a whole heap of fun, play & imagination.
It'll be delivered tomorrow to my daughters and then to Ashdin on the weekend.
    Cheers, crowie

PS: Now I can get back to the Tough Tipper Truck....Ya.

Pretty cool crowie. Are you familiar with the hot wheels city and service station of the late 70s early 80s? I wanna build something like that. You need to lead the way. Bet you could do a smash up job of it

Thank you gents & ladies all..... They are a fun build.
The decals/stickers are all from the first "Cars" the movie and are getting harder to find.

Now to Mike's [aka fozzy] suggestion....WOW.....
I did a google image search and that picture you showed us is just the beginning on the 1970/1980's Hot Wheels City and Service Centre......

I think for my simple garages they'd be a huge project.....maybe too big!!
And I have a Tough Tipper to get movin on.

    Cheers, crowie
