I got a mate there who would likely do it. Not on this forum but he has sent me stuff. Let us know if you get stuck. I email him daily

I don't understand how postage from the States works. Sometimes it is really cheap, and other times really expensive. This is for items of similar size and weight, but coming from different areas.
Good suggestion by Ray to follow up if Peterbuilt don't come through.
Glad to hear you have counciled Handy, and he understands the error of his ways. Ahh, RDO's, those were the days.

Thank you ''Tree'', Ray & Dave for the suggestion and offer..... I've also had the same offer from Bret by ''PM''..
This sort of support and assistance is what makes you blokes and this forum great....THANK YOU.

NOW THE UPDATE - The ''Customer Service Staff'' at the Peterbilt Store ''International Orders'' have set me another email offering me a US$10.00 shipping fee but without any tracking which I have accepted. I'm now awaiting a reply to the confirmation reply I sent and then shipping advice...

    Cheers crowie

    Default Well, we're almost there.....

Well, we're almost there.....all the assembly is complete.....
I just need to do some sanding, then a few coats of clear gloss polyurethane pressure pack....

    A couple of notations:
I wasn't happy with the front mudflaps being as thin as they were, so I replaced them with slightly thicker timber plus a set of air tanks for extra support...
The two [2] grandsons being 3 & 6 years old will give the tipper a good test to see if it's really a TOUGH TRUCK...
If I do another one Id change a few things like bigger fuel tanks, keep the front mudguard wheel arch closer to the top of the front wheels, make the tipper tray/body a little longer...would of been good to know how to make a easy hoist for the tipper!!
BUT generally I'm pleased with the end result ever if I had difficulties with the plans; all the personal modifications/details have turned out okay.
When the ''Peterbilt Lapel Pin'' arrives in the post, I'll glue it to the centre of the rear bumper bar.
The next lot of photos will be after I've done the finish...THANK YOU one and all for the support & encouragement...
    Cheers, crowie

PS - It again took forever to upload this lot of photos having to do it a few times and very, very slow...ended up one at a time!!!

That looks really good Peter. Nice work.

Your mods worked well. It gives you more of a sense of achievement when you change or add to the plans and it works out well. Makes you feel more like you 'own' it.
The tie-pin will be the crowning glory. You must post a pic once it's attached.

I'm sure the boys will give it a good road-test.

Great job Peter look really fantastic I am sure the boys will give it a good quality control. Not been making any toys for a little while as I have been doing some turning which I know you have seen as that is also another part of woodworking that I enjoy, also will be doing some more as I have just ordered a new toy (tool).
On top of that I have another article to write for the magazine.
