Really nice work on awl your tools. It's such a pleasure to use tools that you have built yourself.

How did you shape the points, hand or machine?
What angle did you use?

I marked the centre of the tip from mid point to mid point (Forming a cross) I then marked a line all the way around the tang about 20mm further up. Scribe a line from tip (centre) to where the second line meets the corner on all four sides. This gives you the point shape. I then took it to the bench grinder to remove the bulk and tidied up with a file. Haven't done any honing on a stone as I don't have any yet.
Putting them in a chuck with a file guide would be more accurate.
Others probably have better methods to do this like some fancy tool and cutter grinder, sharpening system etc.…..Live a Quiet Life & Work with your Hands
