I got the engine vents done. A very fiddly job it seemed as though it took me for ever to make them. That is all I will be doing on it now until after Christmas. I hope you all have a great Christmas.
    Cheers Frank.

    Looking good Frank,
I'm glad you were able to get out in the shed as its still way too hot here; close to 40 yesterday & today no relief......[southerly is coming we hope]
You're skill and patience are coming to the fore...
Thank you for the Christmas greeting and please enjoy some top time with family & friends... be safe.
    Cheers, Peter

I am progressing slowly. The plans call for the doors to be highlighted by kerf lines but whatever method I used to do this including routing them with the dremel I could not get them looking right so I decided to cut the doors out and glue them back in again. This looks far better than the kerf lines. After completing the sides I realised that I had stuffed up. I put the side windows in the same place on both sides when in fact they are not. So I had to make one side again. A few pics of my progress.
    Cheers Frank.

    Thumbs up

    Excellent Elderly!! Really great progress!!!

With that wheel track width it looks like it would blow over in a decent wind!

It's taking shape well now, Frank.

The door kerf lines look good. Very clean-looking.
I have problems with that too, and have tried a range of things - broken hacksaw blade, hobby knife, Dremel. Never looks quite right on mine.

Thanks Artme, the wheel track width is quite deceptive at this stage and it has very wide wheels. Apparently there has been thousands of them made and not a single life lost in one.
    Cheers Frank.

If the weather bureau's predictions are correct there will not be anything done in my workshop for a while. A cool 35 degrees for the next three days followed by 40, 43, 42 and 45. Not looking forward to that.
    Cheers Frank.

Sounds rather extreme, best fill up the bath, move the TV or get a good book and just sit....
We had something like that a couple of weeks back and the worst of it the house didn't cool down over night by the 3rd day....
Lots of cold showers and a fan did help a little, though.
The Cougar is looking good, Frank.... I admirer your patience skills at work.
    Cheers, Peter

Thanks Peter all is well with us. I will not be doing anything on the MRAP for some time it is still far to hot 40 something again today and more 40's forecast for the coming week. I am just doing a bit of turning as I feel like it. We are going on holiday at the end of the month so it will probably be the start of April before I get anymore done on it.
    Cheers Frank.
