    Default firewood bowl

found this root ball on the firewood pile it's spotted gum or stringy bark.
the bowl ended up 135 mm diameter 65mm deep and a wall thickness of 4 to 5 mm. I had to treat part of it with CA as it had some dry rot it turned ok!

There is a fair amount of colour difference in the turned bowl. If it was me I would make another bowl.

I like the idea of turning another the same and joining the two, tenon to recess.
    Like a great, big yo-yo.

It would make for a very distinctive-looking bowl.

Lovely piece of timber and well turned too. . Hope you don't mind but instead of a recess in the bottom, I would like to see the outside profile maintained and a small foot on the bottom.
