I'm back
The tools have been in storage since July 2012 when we moved to Victoria but they are about to make a come back in my new shed. The shed is 12mt x 6mt. The roller door on the right is 3 x 6 and will be the garden shed, there is a internal wall which leaves me 6 x 9 for the toys. Over the last 2 weekends the LOML and I have insulated the back wall which faces west lined it with 12 mm ply and erected shelving? I hate peg board so the ply gives a surface that I can put hooks in that stay where you put them. The shelving was a bargain I picked up at a demolition joint for $350 bucks and I still have left overs.
hopefully the picture show properly what we have we done to turn the shelving into storage and a bench.
I'm struggling with the floor layout so I'm keen to here from anyone that has a similar floor space. To go in is a table saw, scms, drill press, bandsaw, combination jointer, thicknesser, dust extractor. All of my gear is on wheels but think These items should have permanent positions.

Looks good. Can you organize to put the dust extractor outside.

If you are not sure about lay out put everything on wheels and experiment with different locations.

When limited to a 6m wide shed I would be inclined to keep everything mobile. You never know what you will be making down the track. To give you some idea, I have done three yachts, twelve rifle stocks, three dining tables, thirty two chairs etc, etc. All these projects require a different set out. Particularly the yachts. My shed is 15m long, so nearly all the machines went else were when it came time to assemble. Fortunately I have another 8x18m
timber storage shed so was able to stick the gear in there. It was good to be able to just wheel it were I wanted it. For large projects its nice to have an end roller door.
