I have rolled some aluminium flat for the mudguards for the rear wheels. I have a number of ideas on how I will secure these but will take some experimentation.
    Very good Keith...
Like the rolled aluminium mudguards and with your hand in the photo it gives a great idea of scale & size...

Keith, you do realize that when you are finished you will have to build a garage for it.
Certainly coming together quickly now. Can't wait to see what you have planned for the Winter months.

An earlier suggestion was that I build a vintage petrol bowser to photograph the ute in front of it. I will be doing this. Will probably build a garage façade. Need a bigger man cave.

Rear mudguards have been painted and enamelled. I made up 3 brackets for each mudguard to secure to the ute tub. Below are photos showing bracket and mudguard secured.

    Crowie,

No, I purposely made so it wouldn't. My understanding was that the older pickups of his vintage didn't have tailgates. If anybody can shed further light I may have to dismantle and rebuild. Thanks for the question.

I have made some tailgate lanterns using downlights. I have drilled out the back of the downlight using a carbide drill and then filled with red paint. Normal red downlights are not very effective.

Will get some photos a little later in project.
