    Default Dolls house materials

I have foolishly promised SWMBO a new dolls house after I upset things when I got rid of the one made from Crowie’s plans. This time I am looking to have a go at a 1/24 version of the Tudor Market Hall by Kevin Jackson. (see Tudor Market Hall - Part 1 | Features | Collectors Club of Great Britain).

Anyway I am wondering about sourcing thin wood and thought that the laminations of cheap plywood might be the go but it begs the question – how do you easily delaminate plywood?

    Any suggestions gratefully received.

    Cheers

How thick are you looking for as if you go to a model shop or web site they usually sell very thin ply

I am one of the ever increasing band of cheapskates and have noticed a huge amount of plywood tossed out into rubbish skips on building sites and therefore FREE! I also think it is a good source of wildly varying colours and types of thin wood if only I could delaminate easily. Such wood can then be used for floor boards, window trim, roof shingles, etc.

    Cheers

Mine too..... BUT I have no idea as to how to de-laminate ply; though somethings it does happen if left outside in the weather..
