Default Where to get a fixed base router motor-only?

    Hi all

I've never ventured into this sub-forum before.

I'm looking for a fixed base router similar to the Ported Cable 75182, and I'm thinking that maybe ou CNC people have a handle on what may be available in either Oz or Europe. I could fool around with voltage converters for 110v I suppose, but I've also heard that Porter Cable quality control isn't what it used to be (now that they're made in Mexico).

    My requirements would be:
    at least 2HP
Variable speed 5,000 to 20,000 approx
    ability to have ¼", ½", 8mm, 12mm collets
    quality built

It would be going into a router-lift, so I can't think of too many other features that would be required.

Maybe something like this? (thanks to Saisay for leading me there).

As I understand it, there are no Router motor-only available in Oz - is that correct?
    Regards, FenceFurniture

    Default try this one

google MLCS in the states they sell a porter cable look a like 3,25 hp for 209.95 US funds
Also I have a pair of the porter cable 7518 variable speed and all you do is replace the s**t bearings and they are good to go
and stay away from the 21000rpm.
I run at 16k all the time, after 4.5 hrs its warm to touch, before it was hot hot

The Dewalt D26204K is available here and may be what you're looking for.

Thanks for that Geoff. It might be a little under powered at 900w. I find also that I use my Triton down around 10,000 rpm quite often to avoid burning.

Maybe the solution is a 110v jobbie with a converter.....

Incra aren't allowed to export their Porter Cables (by agreement) which is a bit silly seeings how they aren't available here. Anyway, there are ways around that.
