I haven't used them but I have just sent them a email, getting real sick of the highway robbery by the other companies

I see they work with Oxygen, Argon and Argon mixes, Helium and Hydrogen
I have good references of Air Liquide too
I never used any of the above before though

I was in the same boat fellas. Didn't want to pay rent for something I could own. That just annoys me.
So I went to Speedgas in South East Melbourne, where you can buy your own bottle and then just pay to refill or swap it (like a swap n go).
I bought two bottles, one argon and one argosheild (for the mig and tig).
Its initially expensive but then you don't think about it any more. For a hobby welder, I would probably go through a bottle a year. So it suits me well.

E size bottle is $459 each. You own them, then you can refil it for 140.
Thats for argon.
Not sure about oxygen sorry....They didnt list those prices.

Oxy and acetylene from Bunnings
Noticed the post https://www.woodworkforums.com/f65/gas-188342 by roobo37 the other day and visited Bunnings here in Bendigo today.
Came home with a D-size bottle of each Ozygen and acetylene. Yeah!
THese are swap and go bottles and cost $99 for acetylene and $69 for oxygen.
You pay $200 deposit for each bottle and get that back when you don't need them any more.
While the gas is a bit more expensive than form BOC and other 'own your own bottle' setups, you don't quite run the risk of the company going belly-up and you ending up with bottles nobody else will refill.
No more rental charges and all legal againCheers,
Joe

Most of the plumbing outlets around here will do oxy and acetylene bottles. The one I find hard to get is Argon. Do they do that?
