Default A day in the shed

Well have been a bit busy in the garden trying to prepare for the summer. Anyway the Great grand son come over as he does on a Saturday and asks "Can I help make something" well we spent 3 hours in the shed and garden making a toy for him followed by some planting seed.

I for one felt great that he wanted to make something with me.

He enjoyed every minute as well as me. Does that make it all worth while. By the way he is only six so most of the work I had to do which for him was OK as he is very sensible for his age and to make a point of it I had left the hose to the vacuum across the workshop and connected to my pillar drill press on seeing this he says "Grand dad should we move that so we do not trip over"

So now I can see that every Saturday is going to be make toy day.

I will post a picture of the toy later. Now added OK I know it is turning as well

Dalby I can relate to the fealing of enjoying the companionship of the grandkids, I have a 4 yr old great granddaughter who loves to join me the shed and vaccum the floor.
She asks for small piecie's of wood to glue together in odd shapes, when she gets tired of that its time for grandpa to stop what he is doing and swing her.
Grandpa loves every minute of it.

Can't wait for my 2 year old grandson to come out in the shed and work with me in the future. Good on you.

I have a grand daughter who is 22 months old. Same stuff, looking for little pieces of wood. Funniest thing yet, shop vac was on, she stuck her hand in it. It didnt stop sucking until it went all the way up her arm to her armpit. Priceless
