Default Silky Oak Tree for Milling - Perth Booragoon WA

    Hi,

I have a large Silky Oak which I am getting a Tree Lopper to remove this Wednesday 16/04. There is about 6m of trunk at 700mm diameter before the first branches.

Anyone want to put this tree to good use, otherwise will be chipped up. Access is a little limited and any equipment must be able to fit through a standard size door.

    Cheers

I'm onto this one, and have come to an arrangement with the owner.
This tree is in a VERY awkward situation and there is some doubt that it can be brought down in one log.
    Anyway let's see what happens.

Bob, if you have to cut it too small for slabs/boards - Bowl blanks would be good, the turners over there might like 350mm+ blanks

That'll be a last resort situation if the tree has to come down in blocks.
The tree is in a corner of the block surrounded on two sides by a fence and other trees and on the third side by a garden shed. the gap to fall through is about 4 m but the lean is decidedly over the garden shed.
