Silky Oak Tree for Milling - Perth Booragoon WA
Hi,
I have a large Silky Oak which I am getting a Tree Lopper to remove this Wednesday 16/04. There is about 6m of trunk at 700mm diameter before the first branches.
Anyone want to put this tree to good use, otherwise will be chipped up. Access is a little limited and any equipment must be able to fit through a standard size door.
Cheers

Bob, if you have to cut it too small for slabs/boards - Bowl blanks would be good, the turners over there might like 350mm+ blanks

That'll be a last resort situation if the tree has to come down in blocks.
The tree is in a corner of the block surrounded on two sides by a fence and other trees and on the third side by a garden shed. the gap to fall through is about 4 m but the lean is decidedly over the garden shed.
