Default NEEDED! - manufacturer with CNC equipment

    Hi everybody,
I'm new here so any advice / tips welcome! I'm planning on moving to Tasmania at the end of '15, and would like to 'hit the ground running', so to speak!

I'm a furniture & Product designer and a new design of mine (which I would like to be my first big project in Australia), ideally needs to be cut by a CNC machine from mostly ~18mm timber (I'm still getting to know the various Tas woods). It could be done with a jig of some sort, but I know from experience that CNC is faster and 100% accurate.

Ideally what I'm looking for is a small cabinet-maker, designer/maker , furniture maker etc, in the Hobart area, with CNC capabilities who would be interested in working together to make small batch runs (10's), of a very stylish designer Bread Box.

    Thanks in advance!
    Michael

    Hi Michael,

I am up near Devonport...I think there maybe one of the forum members in the Hobart area.

What size machine would be required to produce your components?

Have you thought of having your own machine?

    Good choice Tasmania

    Cheers,
    Kym
