    Craig,

    STOP!

While Ive not been allowed to use ANY tools and especially anything sharp, I have taken the opportunity to catalog my tools .... and cameras .... and Toby jugs .......

I have only just photographed my unrestored Carter C78 to put into the catalog and it is clearly BLUE?

This one's a bit more indicative. It looks more like Killrusts ultra blue?

    Default Carter C1 Rebate Plane

I've currently got two C1 planes on my workbench, both I am assured are still wearing their original coats of paint. One is black, the other is blue.
From the differences I have seen in different Carter planes, it looks like they changed things around a lot.

The front knob on my friend's uses the famous Carter hex bolt, while on my own, it uses a more conventional galvanised slotted bolt.

    Default Custom Hock Blades

I've been talking to Ron Hock who has offered a deal on replacement blades. He can make the blade from O1 (no A2 for custom items) for $75 and a custom breaker for $50!

Will need to supply him with proper measurements. Anyone interested?

Default Carter C1 Plane on eBay

Fopr anyone looking for one of these, a fellow has offered one up for sale on eBay (it's in SA). It's going to need some work.

For the collectors, I imagine it will be interesting to see what it goes for.

    Regards,

    Default Black or Blue

And the one on the tool exchange looks like it's black, if that's any help.

Mind you, it's the only Carter C1 plane I've ever seen with that lever cap on it, and I'm not convinced it is genuine.
