I 'spose the only answer is "because he could"...
One of these days, when I've finished all the saws I still have to finish, plus the couple of other tools started but not yet completed, plus all the other jobs that will come along while this happens, I must have a crack at a few working miniature tools - they look like a lot of fun. Don't think I'll be foolish enough to try & replicate a whole chest-full, just a couple!
