    Default Termite question

If I take termite infested wood miles away from the nest will the termites in the infested wood die or just munch on regardless?

    Hi BowlingBall

As I understand it, once a termite is separated rom its nest it will soon die because it is unable to maintain an ideal temperature. Here's and artical on their life cycle. Despite knowing that I would never knowingly bring infected wood to my home. Just being paranoid

Great article thanks TT - that answers the question once for all - they will die off if they cannot get back to the nest.

    Cheers!
