    Kim,

    What's the size?
I'm building a new router and may be able to help you out in a couple of months.

    Cheers,
    Nick

    Hi Nick.
    800 x125x50
I could do with a few to start and it will be ongoing.
Would you have a laser to measure or some other method?

I'd use a probe on the machine to model the stock then clean it up in software.

It'll take me a couple of months to get the machine finished, but I'll get in contact when I have to check if you are still looking

Kim, unfortunately I had a few set backs - mill gears destroyed themselves, lathe motor died whilst making mill belt drive - but I've gotten a lot of work done, particularly last week. It's largely together and starting to move, though I fried a stepper driver and am waiting on replacement. However, complicating matters, I've started a new job which will be ~6 days a week.

I'm hoping to get a fair bit done in the next week or two before work gets even busier. If I can get the machine functioning reasonably I think I should be able to help you out but I can't make any promises with time frames etc. It'll be a while before I get my rotary axis going, which may or may not be required for your job.

I hope this hasn't caused any inconvenience to you. Somehow projects always end up taking 3x as long as I predict...

Not a problem mate. It is so easy to get behind and I'm behind myself that's why I'm looking for an easier way.
