That's defiantly one option which I may use.
I have a few old demolition saw blades from work which I have been hoarding
But I'm toying with the idea off getting some A1/ steel bar soft
And threading the non cutting end
And inserting that in the mild steel handle
But still undecided really

I also should heat tread the tip it's only mild steel.

I thought that mild steel has too little carbon to be heat treatable?
