Two clock cases made this last month

Hello all, I usually post at the box making section but see there is a clock forum so I am posting two clocks made over the past month. These clock are a wedding present to our eldest grandson and his wife, one is to a design they selected from photographs seen on the web, the other to be a surprise is a clock with two movements designed by me and because the couple are setting up home in Germany one will be to European time and the other to British time but they do travel extensively between the two countries.

To all friends and members here, nice to post a project again, I have not forgotten you and pleased to report Janet and I are both well but ageing. (Janet recently fell and broke her right arm but is making a good recovery, I myself have still not worked out how to do the ironing)

Good thing about this forum is that people give advise. Better to use it while it is hot and not too hot to burn the clothes.

My solution to the ironing, has been to buy clothes that do not need much ironing, and friends that do not mind! (no, I don't buy the friends! Can't put a price on the good ones!)

Pleased to learn that you like the clocks, the smaller clock is so called Brazilian Mahogany, and the larger Sapele.

Might have to get round to the ironing pile, its nine weeks and its accumulating. Those Australian ladies I know have not offered to come up and help me out.

Thanks for your replies all, pleased to say that Janet's arm is almost fully recovered after 10 weeks since the accident. She worked hard on it, and now she has got her reward.
