Thumbs up Train wheels, routing, turning and main chassis

Did train wheels today with existing and new methods that I came up in process of trial and error.
So, scrolling, routing with Dremel, turning with Dremel and routing again with Dremel.DSCN3762.jpgDSCN3763.jpgDSCN3764.jpgDSCN3765.jpgDSCN3766.jpgDSCN3767.jpgDSCN3768.jpgDSCN3771.jpgDSCN3775.jpgDSCN3776.jpgDSCN3777.jpgDSCN3779.jpg

And work on chassis and coating

So I made few wheels and finished work on rear chassis, came together pretty well

this is for crowie, my Dremel setup is 2 Dremel 4000, one is on stand other is hanging on stand with flexy thing on it, also got vice with stand, its not dremel, but handy. I won Dremel platinum package with my mahogany train on Dremel competition, thats why I have 2 4000s and its damn handy for quick and detailed building

Thumbs up moving cabin mechanism, extra wheels and chassis, sliding doors

    While busy with:
-writing business plan for my new business
-working on wooden custom cars page on Facebook
-putting book together about my passion - fine detailed wooden custom cars
    -graphic design and social media
    -restoring some furniture
    -playing 8 ball pool online

Somehow I managed to keep work going on my magical Christmas train, after all I've set deadline for it to be finished by Christmas

So I created gear mechanism that will add extra curiosity to train for anyone and by moving this gear cabin moves forward and backward allowing viewer to see and open boiler door.
I also added extra wheels at the front as I have something cool in my mind.
and on top of this i started work on sliding doors and have 1 almost finished. At the start I wanted to have them doors open close like on previous train, but then I liked idea about sliding doors. Challenge here was to make it freely open and close by someone like my youngest kid, he's 3. i usually give my train to him for quick test and see what he can manage to break in first couple of minutes while playing with it. Whatever he breaks i make a bit stronger Sometimes it doesn't work out, so I keep an eye on him and take his destruction skill to account while making next pieces
