Hi fozzy767,
You are doing a great job with the fire truck. There is nothing wrong with the fire truck
and now that you are adding some detail to it it looks so good. Fenders and running boards is a good idea. I really like the fire truck top stuff.

I think when we build something we have a vision of what it's going to look like. If it's not going the way I think it should I get nervous. You wouldn't believe what I pitch or burn when things go awry

I think we as the builders of things can be our own worst enemy when it comes to how we want something to look and be finished. Many a time I have built either a complete project or part of a project for it to end in the bin. Just trying to alter a small piece will not just do.
The toy box is looking great from where I sit

Well done and just in time for your Christmas....
We are already in Christmas Day, just past mid-morning....
It was overcast and damp earlier but we now have sun and mid-20deg"c" [70+"F"].....
