Default Resource on making woodturning chisels

    Hi all,

After posting a couple of questions and getting some great responses I thought I push my newbie luck and ask another...

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good resource on making your own turning chisels? I am a custom knife maker (purely hobbiest) so have plenty of tool steel, both round and flat, a forge, anvil, Heat treating oven and the inclination to make my own chisels.

I have ordered a basic set as well as a decent skew (I figure I'll buy the occasional quality chisel to replace to set eventually) but I cant see the harm in trying a few of my own.

I have done a bit of googling but the info I've come across was pretty generic. I'm looking for info on angle of grinds for different types of chisels and if that differs for different sized chisels.

I'm hoping this is in a book I can purchase somewhere.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

    Matt

There's loads of sites around about bevel angles and grind profiles, here's one I came across a while back

Thanks to both of you for the replies. Both look like they will compliment each other and should be enough to get me going.
