    Hi Matt,

When we were both at the Forum stand last October, you might have seen Dave on Big Stan's stand during the woodchopping explanation/demonstration.

I am pleased that you were able to say your goodbyes.

    Dave,
I'm so glad you got there in time. He would have known you were near. Thinking now of you and the family.

When my mother was passing, she was in a bad way and her brother was flying up form Melbourne to see her before she left.

Two hours after he arrived and sat with her she finally let go.

    People are just amazing.

    Godspeed Timothy...

Thanks Dave. I hope that this could be the beginning of a chapter in your life where everything works out. I think you have had more than your share of "stuff". You are a good man Dave. All the best to you and the family

Talk about the good times, the fun, the growing up and mischief you got into.....
The memories will live on as does the love you had for each other.....
Be strong Dave, cry a lot giving and receiving all the hugs you can hold....

Dave, I know it was expected but it still comes as a shock when it happens.

Be strong for those who need you but also remember you have to look after yourself so that you are able to look after those you love.

I know you will take the focus off yourself and help the others, but take some time each day just for you to do your own grieving and recharge your battereis so you are ready to help the others.I had to do this when my wife passed away and it works.

    Cheers

    Doug

So sorrry to hear your inevitable news dave. You may feel as though you had time to "prepare" for this but my experience is that when the time comes it feels like it all goes out the window.

Now you will start the inevitable roller coaster ride of grief. Hang in there and lean on your family as they have leant on you. Find comfort in the fact your brother has the best brother (and friend) in the world. You did good!

My condolences to Dave and the family.

This chapter of your lives is almost closed, there are still some hard times to come but I feel confident that you all will do what has to be done while dealing with it in your own special way.

Unfortunately, there will be some hard times to come, especially the "year of firsts" by that I mean the first birthday, Father's Day, Christmas etc. These times can be rough but hang onto the great memories and focus on the good times.
    Regards,
    Bob
