    Default The Alien 9 Digger

Here are the first pics of this project. To be fair, I've used a CAD program to get some of the details right, but otherwise there are no plans whatsoever made.

If that bucket arm is an indication of the way this build will go, it's going to be very kool!
Can't wait to see more mate.

    Cheers

Looks like you are well under way already. These CAD programs are great for testing design functions, and the 3D ones are even better.
Looking forward to your updates as the build progresses after seeing previous creations of yours.

I have always enjoyed your builds Leo. And I am sure that this will be no exception from the quality of all your other builds.

Count me in for the ride.

    Default Next steps

I have to admit I'm cheating a bit. At the moment this toy is almost finished. But I'm not sure if I can get all the pics in one post. So, you're getting them a spoonfull at the time to keep you interested too! While I'm posting these, I'm allready thinking and drawing the next one... But, for now, you get to see how I make the wheels, and a device to help me cut the grooves in the wheels and a few details more.

That's a neat little jig for doing the wheels. The rest is coming along very nicely.

    Default Before the wheels

The last pics before mounting the wheels. I think I'm gonna make a slide show or a little movie when it's finished. Also, the drawings needed for the next one are almost ready... But that's the future, still! When the feet are extended, the dimensions are: 52 x 70 cm and about 20 cm high...
