I now have a level space for the shed!! Next step is the surveyors. My old mum passed away last week, so I have been a bit slow on chasing up all parties involved. I have emailed the surveyor, but need to call them tomorrow to confirm they have received my email. I was told about 2 weeks for the surveyor, so I might just have a fully built shed in about 3 weeks!!

Thanks for the messages of support. Always a tough time.

Lucky there is plenty of great things going on to offset the bad stuff. Surveyors are booked and will be doing their stuff on the 17th, a week from now. Too late to chase up the concretor today, but hopefully I can get them booked for the day after the survey. I assume there is a day of form work before pouring the slab, so hopefully by end of next week I will have the foundation down.

The surveyors were out today. I was surprised how accurate the boundary fence was on the side the shed is going. The fence on the other side is about 200mm out, but the neighbour on that side had already had the place surveyed and build his house and retaining walls accordingly, so I was already aware of the discrepancy. I thought the error would be replicated on the other side.

I have let the concretor know, and fingers crossed there will be a slab down before the week is over. If not, I am going to have to push out the delivery of the shed yet again.

Delays, delays, delays. This time it was Cyclone Marcia. She tried to wash away all the crusher dust. I was out in the pouring rain erecting a shade cloth barrier to stop it all disappearing down the steet. Worked a treat.

Marcia is gone now, and the ground has dried out enough for them to come back and level the ground again. Not sure when the concreters are coming back, but I think they were planning to put the slab down tomorrow. Might be Saturday...



I got a call from Titan last week saying they were delivering the shed monday. Told them the slab was not down yet and the bloke on the phone got all with me. I said there was no place to put the shed, said I would take a photo and show him. It me off a bit, as when I bought the shed I bought it as a turn key package. So far I have had to ring around and chase the assesor, the council, the earthworks, the concreter etc. and they the guy from titan gets with me! It was supposed to be up before Christmas, and its hardly my fault that its been delayed! Anyway, me must push on.

I will go buy some conduit today for power and internet, plus some pipe for water.
