p.m sent...yes it is mostly dry...be a good idea to let the larger sections stabilize for a few months to play it safe...there has been high humidity here for the last month...the logs very aged and dry with little moisture content...rich color and high figure...$1.50 a piece is seriously cheap...MM

Had the pleasure of meeting Mapleman (Chris) today.
I can highly recommend this silky oak. To be honest, I am pretty sure that I have over indulged in wood today, picking up a trailer load plus today. The majority of the pieces were quarter cut, so there is plenty of figure. Some of the silky oak also has a lot of ripple in the grain.
I couldn't resist the urge to dress some pieces when I got home this after noon (see the following pictures for drool worthy silky oak including the small bit in the back of the ute...)

I think I have finally reached the maximum amount of wood that I can store and will need to take some action soon
Very impressive wood.
