It'd have to stay maroon but with your talent in the paintwork department, should be a breeze..........
    Thank you, cheers, Peter

Keith's got a good idea there!
Don't know about dropping down for a few days, we may need a couple of months.
We'll lay down a mirrored endless black "Sweet As!

I know and agree that thread hijacking is a complete no no!.
But in this case I would claim that a little of it adds to what I do.

One thing I've learned being on this forum is that it's not just about the things we make.
It's also about the people we get to know and the influences they have on us.
Over the last year or so I've done a bit of traveling and meet quite a few of the forum members.
All great people most of who have a little sawdust in their veins!, (Although in my case it's probably the dust from sanding bodyfiller).

I enjoy having people feel they can move away from the build for awhile to have some light hearted banter.
It just makes it all the more enjoyable for me, and I think for most others as well.

I just realised having said that I've probably opened the door for CAG to start up with why Green Eggs and Ham is a far better read than Fox In Socks!
But it's the chance you take.

So as I see it Peter you couldn't hijack the thread or lead someone astray if you wonted to.
You and all the other forum members are what make the thread as much as anything I may be building at the time!.

    Cheers mate
    Trev.

P.S what ever your thinking CAG "Don't Do It!".

Now that's an open invitation to mischief Trevor.....

So back to the Falcon.... black is a hot difficult colour to maintain at it's original best on a car so I'll pass on the offer and besides I need the car 3-4days a week for medical appoints, shopping and grandchildren of course.....so we need another colour choice and a car to get me around for the 3 months mine would be away....[and not a billy cart please as I'd hate to damage one of yours]....

    Cheers, Peter

    Default Go faster

Crowie, regardless of the colour Trevor decides on, make sure he does some pin striping, it will make the old girl go nearly as fast as adding green 'P' plates.

Actually, might be better to let Trev get back to his motorbikes and not distract him with too many grand ideas.

I don't think the thread has been too badly hijacked, as it includes some of the masters specialties, ie, painting and decorating / pin striping.

    Hijack completed,

    Alan...

I don't know mate I could see you flying down the Blue Mountains in the Outlaw.
    That would be a sight!.
It would've put a smile on Ed Roth's face for sure!.

    Good onya Peter.

    Cheers
    Trev.

    Just saw your post Alan.
Your spot on about the pin stripping it makes anything go twice as fast!.
You'll notice the Outlaw has some on it.
You'd really have to hang on Crowie.

And there is me thinking I had come back and the forum had gone over to a car forum.

It is great that we can laugh and have fun but at the same time watch some great modellers/toymakers.

The bike is getting the full restoration by the look of things Trev, it is surprising when we look back on some of the first or earlier things that we build how many mistakes/mishaps that we made. To me this is what makes us better at the end of the day.

The parts are looking great can't wait for some of them to come together

Not a car forum but we do get reeved up about toy and model making!.

Hopefully I can get the Harley to the same finish as the Indian.
It's funny in a way I'm finding it more challenging to repair and improve the finish of a previously made part than to make it a new!.
Mind you it makes things go a lot faster when most of the work has already been done.

    Cheers mate.

I've gingerly put the timing cover back on the engine.
Things are a little dusty I'm still not game to handle the black paint to much.

The engine numbers on and I'm working on getting it to look the Skew was saying.

At the moment I'm working on the front cylinder trying to match the fins up as much as possible.
When that's done it will be painted to look (Hopefully) like polished cast.

    Cheers
    Trev.

Ahem, you asked for it with both barrels!!!

Green eggs and ham will make you spew,
I hate most of the Seuss books, so should you,
A waste of cotton is a fox in socks,
Don't shut me down or get kicked in the bollocks.

A Ford in maroon: a Queenslander I'd guess,
Take it back to the rubbish dump I would suggest,
But Holden to your horses if you can,
Take Trev up on his offer Pete, become an Outlaw man!

    Hi Trevor,

Any significance to the engine number you chose?

You know me to well CAG.
The engine number is all about a friend of mine.

Even though your not responsible for the other post, if you happen to run into the person who was "Give a pat on the back will ya!".

    Cheers mate
