Not easy is it!.
At the end of the day it's all going to come down to detail.
So far I'm finding lots of wonderful pictures but none with the detail I need to build a bike.
I need fin patterns and cylinder heads all that good stuff hiding under the tank.
Still I've got some time, the Harley the go at the minute.
But you'd think a bike like the Brough would have rely detailed information on it!.
Thanks a lot mate really appreciate your help.
PS, Not to sure about the Arab garb, but I've been known to do a pretty good Frank N Furter from the Rocky Horror Picture Show!.
Finished making the throttle lever today.
It's come out pretty well but it's a fiddley little thing to make.
It's just in primer at the moment I'll give a top coat after I've made the other parts I need for the carbie.
It will be nice to move on to some larger parts!.
Cheers
Trev.

Ive read that 'someone' in the UK is making replica Broughs and that he could do so because "all of the factory drawings are still available"?
There is a very active Brough owners group in the UK so I suggest we write to the them, with a link to your Indian thread as an example of what you can do, and ask for help?

I think today the parts got smaller not bigger.
I made the choke lever and cam.
Apart from the butterfly their pretty much the last pieces for the carbie.
I got the really big five cent piece out again to show the size of the cam.
It's shaped by hand from a piece of pine.
Does anyone else think it looks like the Bat signal or is it just me.
The one thing I do need to find is a tiny ball bearing it goes into the recess cut into the cam.
It would have been spring-loaded so that the choke held it's position each time it was moved.
Butterfly tomorrow and all the carbie parts are made.

The Carb is looking fantastic Trev. For small metal balls find some small bearings and break them I have put them in a vice and tightened untill they break BUT whatever you do put them into a piece of clth one to stop loosing the balls and two and most IMPORTANT the outer race breaks and goes flying and can cause injury. Play safe mate

Had to look hard for the butterfly, thought i saw a caterpillar but that might be a future build lol
Like always (though sometimes i get distracted by other things, a word, sidenote, fly buzzing by) the detail is great

I'm not to sure as to why but when I first made the engine I totally missed the way the rockers where conected to the heads.
Theres even a great little casting number I've marked with the red arrow.
They should look as if their screwed into the heads not just sitting on top.
Below is how I originally had them (way off the mark)
I've added the boss that will be blended into the head and the locking ring that would've held the rocker in place.
Theres quite a bit of work to do the rocker itself to get it looking right.
The hole process of repairing and modifying the engine is certainly an interesting one for me.
Cheers
