I'd rather be covered in bodyfiller and saw dust!.

After the Brough I'd better build something other than a bike.
My son is pushing for the Golden Hind at about 9 to 10 feet long "I Can See That" way kool.
I could get Keith to turn me up some working brass cannons!.

I shouldn't hang it on the Bantam it's a good little bike.
When I was younger it was always know as the bike you restored if you couldn't afford a real one!.
Nowadays a fully restored one can run you quite a few thousand "Go Figure".

    Cheers Guys
    Trev.
No problems about the brass cannons - but "working"???

    Regards

    Keith

No fun if you can't let rip with a broadside!.
The Golden Hind had 16 guns.

I really like that it's Neff and Kool at the same time!.
Kool being the model itself, Neff the idea of being on board!.
Looks a lot like I've got some relatives back in the mother country.
I don't suppose some of his ancestors were transported to Van Diemen's land by chance!.

    Cheers

    Hi All,

You may be interested to know that Trev (Repliconics) and I had a long phone conversation this morning. He and Tayne are well. We talked about lots of things. We talked about wood lathes. We talked about our next builds. Trev reckons that my intention to build a diesel locomotive to finish off my history of locomotives is not the way to go. That steam is really the only real locomotive and that diesel is only a box on wheels with no character at all.

I said that I would build the diesel and he compared that to Trevor building a Vespa.

So - it looks to me as though the Brough might be on hold

I think the Vespa will be on Trev's next build list for it's intricacies and the ultimate challenge

Have included a photo of Trev's Indian and a photo of the good old Vespa for other Forum members thoughts and consideration

Trev - I told you I would post it

    Regards

    Keith

    Crowie,

I'm not that old ------maybe I am

Trev will probably try to outdo that wooden Vespa (but I will probably still build the diesel)

I want to see the Brough

Thanks for your light hearted post

Hey Keith it took me awhile but I found some plans for a Diesel.
I think they could really help you get the detail just right!.

I take back what I said this morning it looks nothing like "A Brick On Wheels".
I just hope your up to the challenge mate.

    Cheers Mate

    Trev,

That texture on the side of the diesel will be a challenge to replicate.

Thanks for your research - one question though - is it an English or Australian diesel you have photographed? I just cannot quite make out the subtle difference .

    Regards

    Keith

Glad to see you back on Trev and things going fine.

Now you know that Keith likes a little detail on his train so I found THIS for him.

And what's wrong with a Vespa

    Thanks mate.
I'll be leaving Mildura on the 1st of October and heading for Tassie to find somewhere to live.
Then it's a case of setting up a workshop and getting back to what I enjoy most!.

    Love the paper model Diesel.
But it could be tricky for the old boy with all of that cutting, folding and gluing.
Still I think it would be worth the effort I don't know that I've ever seen a model of a Diesel Engine with that much detail before!.

I can't say that there's to much wrong with a Vespa.
Their usually ridden by some of the most beautiful women in the world!.

But I think I'll stick with the Brough.

    Cheers mate
    Trev.
