    Default Finally Finished......

Finally Finished........been a long drawn out process between the rain and the re-roofing....BUT still a lot of enjoyments......

Made a number of errors and mistakes in the personalization of the Bulldozer but all have been fixed okay and the grandsons will love playing with it......

There is about a dozen different hardwoods have been used on this 400mm x 200mmx 200mm wooden toy with about 5 coats of clear gloss polyurethane pressure pack........

I've added a radiator; an air cleaner; an exhaust stack; a ripper; raised the cabin; added the lights; added extra material thickness in the blade arms & blade; the blade support arms & the pivot blocks have been pinned with M4 dowel and of course the crawler tracks [power drive belts]..... plus the "Peterbilt" lapel pins on the rops supports......

The power diver belts to represent the crawler tracks were an idea which I got from Fozzy [aka Mike] from when he did a snow mobile about a year or so back, thank you Mike.

A few friends on LumberJocks helped with the length required for the crawler track off the bulldozer's they'd already built.

The ripper design is mine but I had a lot of useful & helpful input from the crew on the toymaking & model making forum, thank you gents all......

Finally THANK YOU one and all for the support and encourage during this build, the banter and the ideas make the process even more enjoyable....what a top forum...Cheers Peter [aka crowie].....

PS - I'd taken some photos with the phone and the camera but couldn't work out which to add so you get them all...enjoy...

That looks fantastic Crowie. It has been well worth the wait, but once you got going again you flew through it.
You might want to remove some of those photos before Worksafe see them looking at some of the precarious places Handy has put himself in.
What an evening, Crowie's finished build and the Cats win. Doesn't get much better than that.

    Default Bulldozer

    Hi Pete,
I have just seen this build & have to add my complements to all the rest.
A job well done, & by the looks completely child proof as well.
    Keep up the good work.

Default Thank you one and all for the kind comments.....

Thank you one and all for the kind comments.....

I also posted the Bulldozer on Lumberjocks and received a "Daily Top 3" recognition...blew me away...

The tracks are Powerdrive Belts inside out part number 225L150 and though I mucked up a little on the correct positioning of the drive wheels, the rework was easy enough and has worked a treat....

What to do next?? Maybe an excavator or an articulated loader.....again thank you all..cheers, Peter

Wow. Awesome job. I remember you saying such nice things about things I build. You have shamed my work. Great job. Those tracks make things a ton easier and makes the builds way more enjoyable
