    Thank you.

I have never done a wood model before, nor a build log. Had no idea if I was doing log right, it was a pleasure to log and share my experience.

I hope to do the same with other builds.

If I go overboard please let me know.

I will post a build /review of the little work center in the next 2 weeks. Not sure if it goes here but I'm sure you will relocate it in the correct spot.

Many tks again to all. I expect to finish the stagecoach by the end of the week and will post final bits an comments then.

    Tks Paul V

No offence meant to others, but nice to have a site with fellow Aussies.

This Kit was a joy to work with and the instructions where mostly good.
All up it has taken my 1 1/2 months at a couple of hours per night ( approx 80 Hours not including waiting for things to dry, so the 70 hour estimate is close.)
    Learinng lots like
    Do not paint in heat,
    Stain before gluing
Prefit bits ( Thee still do it back to front)
    Read instructions
When all else fails fake it.
    Bostic does not like vinyl...
Suoer glue (CA) sticks to fingers before other stuff.

From a tool requirement I only used:
Pin Drill ( broke lots of .5 bits )$15 Jaycar

    Long nose Pliers
    Cutting Pliers
    Pointy bent tweezers
(All Part of a beading kit from Spotlight.) Approx $18
    Stanley knife $10
A mini plane & craft tech hobby vice from Bunnings $20
    Small Saw $7
    Scissors $5
Button Head Pins from spotlight $2

A Rubbish bin and Bungie ties for Bending Wood.

    PVA wood Glue
    Super Glue
    Bostic Tube Glue

Some Tamiya Acrylic Paint for Luggage
Cabbots Clear semi gloss Acrylic Finish
Cabbots Walnut Stain / Varnish combo

As per other logs , if anyone needs advice on what I did or the Kit pls ask.
Be warned that my father used to say there were three ways to do things, "Right, Wrong and the Navy way. Why do you come up with a fourth ??"

Tks for following my log and the comments. I really appreciate it.
Next up the Occre Portable Work Bench ( Workstation for small models ) and then the Rocket

    I haven't lot interest yet....

    Tks All
    Paul V

A very nice model and as you say you have learnt along the way and yes about the super glue I hold the piece in place and when I remove my finger thinking that the part has stuck only to find the part stuck to my finger.

So a big thumbs up from me on your build

    G'Day Paul,
You have certainly done yourself proud...the Stagecoach looks great...
And a HUGE THANK YOU for all the extra time and effort to do the Work in Progress photos & build notes as IMHO this really makes a good project thread, GREAT....Keep up the good work.
    Cheers, crowie...

PS - The WIP also helps others both now and in the future, so an extra well done for "paying it forward".....
