Fixture Locking Kit
Hello everyone
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the above named tool available from Peachtree Woodworking. It isnt my tool so no photo but it is sold (without instructions) as a universal hold down clamp for T slots in band saws, combo machines etc. oh yeah it doesn't appear to work at all.
Thanks in advance Steve

Hi Steve
Is this what you're talking about?
Miter Slot Fixture Locking Kit The perfect accessory kit for attaching featherboard, hold-downs or virtually any type of jig you can think of to your table saw, router table, or any tool with a standard 3/4" x 3/8" miter gauge slot. The fixture kit works by applying outward pressure to the "walls" of the miter gauge slot. The "wedge" bolts push up into center counter sunk holes in the miter bar as they tighten with the star knobs, which pushes the center of the miter bar outward producing a nice tight fit.
The Fixture Kit includes:
- 2 ea. expandable 4 3/4" long miter bars
- 2 ea. star knobs
- 2 ea. wedge bolts
- 2 ea. washers
- can be used with stock up to 1-1/4" thick
Seems a pretty simple bit of kit.
the washer goes under the start nut - when you tighten the wedge bolt expands the bar.
take a triangular file to the inside ends of the bar if it's too hard to tighten,
alternatively use a piece of a drink can as a sleeve on the "wedge" boltregards from Alberta, Canada

Thanks for both replies. Will pass that information on and tell my mate to get the file out (i couldn't torque it properly) and also get it away from those Tslots. Yes i smiled at that and thought of the adage to only use within the manufacturers recommended guidlines.
