G'Day Kevin,
One just may have to organize a visit to Iowa to see this model in person as I'm sure the photos only tell half of the story.
Cheers, Peter.
PS - Not unless you could pack it in you luggage when you visit Keith for that afternoon of lawn bowls.....

Round trip tickets at 3000 dollars give or take it would better if you came here plus you like to travel don't you. you could bring your camera

While you are very correct on the travel and definitely the camera, I must say thank you Kevin for the offer but US$3000 at today's exchange rate is about A$4300....
I'll need to save a little [a lot] to re-balance the budget before I hop on a plane to Iowa...cheers, Peter
PS - It's heaps warmer DownUnder most of the year round than in Iowa.....

Doesn't sound like there are many bowling greens around your area Kevin, you will have to come to Oz.

Looking fantastic it will look great once it is all set up and finished with it's case
You have got it looking pretty close and it does give an idea of the size of the original
Plenty of greens here Keith I collect the Lignum Vitae Bowls and cut them up for turning and making things like mallets they are great for that

I had never heard of lawn bowling before I had to look it up. Yesterday I went to put the boom cradle on and realized that it never got its last coat of paint so that is on the list for today along with going to get some plywood for the case base I already have walnut boards for trim. here is the truck case Copy of last time i hope 033.jpg

Now that's very nice done Kevin....BUT do I spy a "doll's house" in the background....Cheers, Peter
PS - One word of warning about Lawn Bowls...
I've heard it said it's addictive and some bowlers become obsessive as I'm sure Keith could attest to being his club president and having to be the diplomatic depute resolver....
