G'Day Viollet,
May I suggest the local Men's Shed or Woodworking Club as somewhere to ask the question if none of the members come forward.
Also run your request in the general woodwork, woodturners and pen makers sub-sections of the forum to gain a wider audience and thus responses...
Cheers, crowie

Hi Violet
can you supply some dimensions for the blocks?
They look to be only approximately round -- how thick are they -- what size hole -- does the hole pattern need to match your sample, or will a semi random spacing work as well for the purpose -- how long is the "needle" -- what diameter -- how thick is the string
these details will help others supply answersregards from Alberta, Canada
