Kaizen foam for tool boxes/drawers
For anyone wanting to store their tools in drawers or toolboxes our friend at Timbecon have just started to stock Kaizen Foam
http://www.timbecon.com.au/site-shop...foam-organizer
I first saw this some months back on the American makers site but the freight was a killer. I received earlier this week, a newsletter from Timbecon and what do you know they are now selling Fast Cap branded goods here in Aus.
Just do it!
Kind regards Rod

Yes I was thinking of Fletty when I was doing the process of ordering. The chaps in Melbourne have got it good, they can be cash and carry shoppers which makes the use of the foam very attractive. Us who are further away from Melb have to deal with the addition of freight. But maybe someone could do the "shopping" and bring back the sheets to distribute to the masses.
With me buying 2 sheets of foam, I now have to get off my ars# and organise a set of drawers that are holding up my wood lathe that I made 2 Christmases ago.
By the way,....the only connection I have with Timbecon is that I am a contented customer. Their service is personal and great.Just do it!
Kind regards Rod

Is it any different from the stuff you can get at clarke rubber?

Strangely enough, Im sitting here staring at the Clarke product as I write. I haven't actually seen the kaizen but its layers appear to be 3mm thick whereas the Clarke is 5mm so the kaizen should give more options for depths BUT, the biggest issue for me is that the Clarke product has black/charcoal top layer and all lower layers are stark white which shows up startlingly any inaccurate cuts because of the contrast?
And, if you are lucky enough to be able to pick it up, the kaizen also appears to be considerably cheaper and, even with freight, it still also appears to be cheaper. I think fence furniture might have to start doing illicit runs into NSW, i can see Fencey and Ferguson in balaclavas doing the midnight dash

Hi Fletty. I purchased a board of 57mm kaizan from http://www.timbecon.com.au/site-shop...foam-organizer during the week to use as packing for a backsaw I am sending to the USA. Wasn't overly difficult to create a protective recess for the saw. Quite impressed with the layered design.

Fastcap stuff is generally very good and usually unique, I just ordered two glue bottles from Timbercon, they are great but I broke the one I have. Have you seen their drill index, I wish it was metric. https://www.fastcap.com/estore/pc/vi...dproduct=50453
