Default Setting up Radial Arm Saw Fence

Hi everyone I was wondering if there is a guide or a formula to locating the rip fence.I have the Australian assembled 1512 with a 12 inch blade.

I think it should have a cutting depth of over 4 inches. How do I install a fence that ensures maximum depth and width of cut.

With the saw in the "home or parked " position, square down from the centre of the shaft and fix your fence 150mm to the cutting face of the fence. This is based on a max cutting depth of 100mm.

Normally you measure the lowest part of the saw at the shaft or blade collar and then measure down to the bottom of the blade. This then is the distance from the bottom centre of the blade to the face of your fence +10mm
The person who never made a mistake never made anything

    Cheers
