The carvings are exceptional. It's nice to see what people can do working by hand in economies where you can afford to pay people to work by hand. The carvings aren't my style, but it's not my locale and I'd probably "get it" more if it was. They are done exceptionally well, though.

That's the Vietnamese flag, not the communist flag. The communist flag is a yellow hammer and sickle on a red background.

If you took the time to look things up you might not get offended so easily.
