Who cares if it's a little different to the plans, we won't know. Having to make changes just stretches the brain a bit and shows your inventiveness.
Looking good so far and I am keen to see you do the wheels.
Bet the grandkids can't wait or don't they know yet. (assuming it's for them of coarse)
I notice you have snuck in a little bit of the Ford in your outdoor shot. Is that like having a little bit of Handy in all the indoor ones?Dallas

Thanks Kevin, that's great!!!
Downunder there is a huge rivalry between the Ford & General Motors "Holden" car makes...
This is especially poignant this weekend at a New South Wales country city called Bathurst while for the past nearly 50yrs has had a big weekend of motor racing; the Sunday being a 1000km race.

G'Day Kevin,
A lot of Aussie blokes don't understand Holden either ....
You got a nice looking truck, sir....the "ute" is more popular here.
Chevy is a General Motors company, the local Holden's have used Chevy V8's as there engines....
Did you check out the Bathurst race link I posted...
One of the better drivers had a huge crash in qualifying today, wrecked the car and put him & a marshall in hospital.
The driver was coming first in the local Australian championship, but I think he'll be out for the rest of the season.
Cheers, Peter

Holden, Chevy, General Motors, we're all one big happy family. Our Holdens are pretty much the same inside now as some of your Chevy's.
Nice looking vehicle. What does the 2500 stand for on the door?

Alright, alright, enough of the big boys toys.. .. back to the fun and relaxation of wooden toy making!!
Handy and I have been doing a bit on the front half of the articulated loader...
The handle and anchor plate have been prepared...
I cut 6 pieces of the old fence paling when I only needed 2... ... more for another project.... ....
I printed the templates and glued them to the timber, just using a "glue stick" as a number of blokes suggested....
I was thinking about have a go at cutting the templates out with the new secondhand scrollsaw BUT have decided to just do a rough cutout and finish the parts on the bobbin sander....
I have some concerns about the fixing of the arms & levers as the plan suggests screws & washers ???
Any thoughts please, upon better alternatives???
Cheers all, Peter [aka crowie]
PS - Wally's sulking as we couldn't refill his pond on the weekend....too busy watch Craig Lowndes win the Great Race

[Yes, if a Ford couldn't be first then I'm very pleased that Craig won his 6th Bathurst 1000....]

Good to see you back into it Crowie, and coming along nicely.
I will have a think about the attachments for the arms.
Good finish to the race yesterday and good to see Lowndesy win again. A great successor to Brocky. Be interesting to see how we feel when Holden and Ford pull out.
Could you use axle pegs and glue them in to act as your pivot points?Last edited by Treecycle; 12th October 2015 at 10:20 PM. Reason: A thought
